Biological Activity

Terlipressin is a synthetic analogue of vasopressin used to treat hypotension. It may be beneficial when epinephrine proves ineffective. Indications include septic shock and hepatorenal syndrome unresponsive to epinephrine, as well as bleeding from ruptured esophageal varices.
