Atosiban is a peptide Oxytocin Receptor Inhibitor. Atosiban is a nonapeptide, desamino-oxytocin analogue, and a competitive vasopressin/oxytocin receptor antagonist (VOTra) . Atosiban inhibits the oxytocin-mediated release of inositol trisphosphate from the myometrial cell membrane.
